Empowering Our Community with a Blood Drive
On Friday, July 19th, the Top Ladies of Distinction Detroit Chapter partnered with our community to address the prevalence of sickle cell in the Black community. Sickle cell disease affects about one in every 365 Black or African-American births. By collaborating with the Sickle Cell Organization, we hosted a blood drive to make a tangible impact. We're not just talking about change; we're actively working towards it. Our efforts contribute to the over 100,000 people in the United States who rely on regular blood donations to manage this condition.
