The Juneteenth celebration at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church was not just a lively event, but also a rich source of education. Participants included the Kidney Foundation, Detroit Health Department, Heart Association, Sickle Cell Michigan Chapter, Detroit Literacy Coalition, and a storyteller who brought the history and significance of Juneteenth to life. Our very own Teen Alexis wowed the crowd with her amazing vocals. The event was a wonderful blend of community, education, and health awareness, leaving participants feeling enlightened and informed.
In collaboration with Good Health Wins, Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (Detroit Chapter) organized a Health and Wellness event featuring health talks about vaccinations and activities, promoting community, and enhancing well-being while receiving positive feedback.
